SRTS Advisory Committee & Partners
PA SRTS Advisory Committee
The PA Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Advisory Committee advises the PA SRTS Resource Center in its efforts to promote and distribute information about the SRTS program in Pennsylvania. The committee is made up of representatives from nonprofit organizations and state agencies that, through their vested interest in such childhood issues as health, safety, and education, will play a vital role in the development and promotion of the SRTS program.
The committee meets twice a year to provide PennDOT and the PA SRTS Resource Center with feedback on the SRTS program activities. Throughout the year, committee members are asked to promote and market SRTS programs and activities through their individual networks. Committee members also serve as evaluators in the noninfrastructure grant selection process and help to determine which applicants will receive grants to help fund SRTS noninfrastructure activities.
